FSA Information

Hello Floral Families!

In an effort to ensure you know when your child will be testing for each subject this FSA season, all the dates have been added to our online calendar. In addition, you can click on this link to see all dates and tests in one document. Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or the office at any time regarding FSA questions or concerns.

PTO Kick-Off

We’re excited to announce the official kick-off for the Floral Avenue Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization! Our first official meeting will be held on January 14, 2020, at 5:15 in the Cafeteria. We would love for you to join us, give some input, sign up to volunteer, or just come and see what it’s all about. You can take a look at the flyer that went home on this link.

We look forward to working with you to make Floral Avenue the best school in Bartow!

Community Support

Our school is always looking for community support. If you would like to donate or help our school fund a project, please email Mrs. Ruhl, Mrs. Eckman, or visit the Donors Choose website for our school to find a current project that needs funding. Thank you!

Sunshine State Young Readers

This year’s Sunshine State Young Readers award book list for grades 3-5 is available here. There are fun awards in the Media Center for reading these books and passing the AR tests, and a special prize for reading and testing on every book on this list! Please ask your child’s teacher for details. All of these books are available in the school library. Let’s get reading!!

For our younger students, this year’s Sunshine State Young Readers award book list for grades K-2 is available here. Mrs. Eckman has even read bits and pieces of these books over the morning announcements to let the students know they’re available and ready to be enjoyed!!

Information for Parents!

Welcome back to school! We’re excited to partner with all of our students’ parents here at Floral Avenue. There are some excellent learning opportunities and information sessions coming up that we’d like to invite you to attend. These include learning about Exceptional Student Education, what and IEP is and what to expect during these meetings, different behavior strategies, and ways that we can partner together between home and school to help your child learn. Please visit this link to learn more, and ask at the office if you have any questions about these classes.
